Dear USCSF Officer
Sorry to interrupt you. I am an assistant professor at the University of
California, San Francisco. I am preparing to apply the research grants from
many institutes, including NIH and AASLD and ALD. These research grant
applications require the applicant to be either USA citizen or Green Card
holder. When I submitted my I-485 application, I did not apply for I-765(EAD
) and I-131 (AP) to avoid increasing the work burden of USCIS officers since
I know you have a lot of work to do.
Since EB1A belongs to Alien of Extraordinary Ability, and my current Natural
Medicine without side effect research and research grant applications will
significant benefit the Americans. But, the delay of EB1 485 processing has
blocked many talented foreign outstanding researchers and professors from
getting more research funds and projects for their employer; thus influence
their capability to solve more challenging problems in science, and blocked
their employer from making more profit and creating more jobs to Americans,
also creates significant barriers for international research collaboration
due to the concern and potential delay of checking.
I really hope USCIS could expedite our I-485s based on EB1A category (Alien
of Extraordinary Ability). Since many deadlines to apply the NIH research
grants is late November and early December 2011. The expedite processing of
our EB1A I-485s will give me eligibility and opportunity to apply these *
research grants and expedite my current research in **, which will
significant benefit current ** studies and Americans.
