拿到一个投行backoffice IT offer, 看到这样一个requirement before first day:
A copy of your most recent personal or related brokerage account statements.
Related accounts may include accounts held by a spouse, dependent, domestic
partner, and any relative residing with you. You must transfer all
brokerage accounts that maintain securities to (...) within your first 60
days of employment

是的，很多花街的公司管的很严，要么不准你炒股，要么只能炒ETF

不知道，得问公司的HR了，但是一般买基金或者ETF都不会有问题的

问题是不让我在别的地方开账号，感觉失去了自由。

No. Only brokerage account such as etrade, TDameritrade etc. If you have
both types of accounts under one firm such as fidelity, you only need to
declaim your brokerage account.
Be sure to ask whether your family member is also included.
You can still trade stock/option but you need get pre-approve on each trade
you made in future.

这个每次trade前要approve太傻了，有机会不都错过了吗。

要提前至少3-4周approve
你觉得可能么?
就是软禁止

think the other way: what you can get by not declaiming the 10k account?
if the securitty is not on restriction list, it can be approved in minutes
in my company. But cannot speak on others. Ask for details.

这和大小没关系的
就是官僚主义,都要管
所以其实大帐户的那些财团,规避方式反而很多
老百姓就是吃亏的
给自己打工是王道

还有一个问题，如果买bond什么的，也有限制吗？
