Experience:
5-10 years of experience working on financial systems, preferably
trading related technology
5+ years of core Java development (1.5 and up)
3+ years of UI (Swing) development experience
Buy side and/or sell side knowledgeable
Knowledgeable about fixed income, MBS, FX and other markets
BA/BS or advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Systems,
Mathematics or a related field.
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills coupled with a strong
attention to detail
Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively and adapt
quickly in a rapidly changing, team-based environment
Experience with (Agile-like) process-oriented methodologies
Technical expertise in the following areas is desirable:
Developing client/server and distributed systems
Object-oriented analysis and design
Java (1.6); Swing
Enterprise messaging systems such as MQ
JUnit
SYBASE
ANT, IVY, Continuous Integration (Hudson), Unit testing (JUnit),
Subversion, Jira
Spring
Hibernate
Apache Chains
FIX protocol
XML and XSD
Experience with Build and Release processes
