Background:
Not a strong case. Currently a postdoc at a public university. Journal
paper 7 including 5 first-authored plus a bunch conference abstracts and
papers. Journal paper reviews about 20+, plus a few conference session
chair and scientific committee. Citations 190+ at the time of the Response
to RFE. 4+3(RFE) reference letters (5 independent), plus 1+2 (RFE)
verification letters from industry, including NASA and a MLB team.
Preparation:
I contacted Daniel Guo Law around Feb, 2017. He offered me Approval or
Refund. Also considering his background in science, I signed a contract
with him. I drafted the research statement, based on which Daniel drafted
reference letters and petition letter. I did not change the main structure
and flow of the PL, and only added a few things after discussion with Daniel
. During the preparation, I had a lot of questions, to which Daniel
responded really quickly. Very helpful.
After initial submission (added PP one week later), my case was RFEed by
XM1122 with regard to the Original Contribution of Major Significance.
XM1122 seems to be an IO you could reason with based on previous posts I
found in the forum at the time. But, initially, I was still a little panic.
Daniel calmed me down and gave me directions about how to respond.
Following his instruction, I added 3 more independent reference letters and
2 more verification letters to emphasize my contribution, and also added
concrete examples of works that have implemented my works. Again, Daniel
drafted the response to RFE, to which I only added a few things. The case
was then approved after response.
Final Thoughts:
1) Daniel will give you a great guidance, but you still need to do your
homework.
2) Ask questions, and do not hesitate, which save your time in preparation.
Daniel will respond really quickly.
3) Daniel has his own way to make things work, which may look a little
different from the DIY style you see in the forum. I trusted him and it
worked for me.
