也请大家帮助分析一个选校的问题，地方局限在DC，所以只申了几个DC学校，现在有
GULC和GWU的admission，都是parttime。
现在在一小IP firm工作，对这个方向还是比较喜欢，当然也没接触过law的其它方向，
所以也不知道别的会不会更喜欢。
GULC总体排名好些，T14，听说clerkship的机会比较多，但GWU也不错，排名19，而且
IP很强。
综上所述，很难选择，请教大家意见。

I think the problem with the area is that, few applicants can get finacial
support to study RFIC and master courses are probably inadequate as a start-
up jump into this area.
How about other RF/microwave related area? For example, Computational EM or
Radar?

For law school, only the overall ranking matters, especially when the choice
is between Top14 school and non-top14 one.
Because you are in PT program, I assume you are not getting any money from
GW, the choice couldn't be any easier.

GULC hands down.
The only "con" about GULC is the location. It's too close to Southeast DC. I wouldn't take a walk around the perimeter of the campus at night. GWU's location is not that great, either, but Foggy Bottom definitely beats Judiciary Square/Union Station.

EM is really tough to get a job,
Circuit is good. Both analog and Rf are easy to get job, if you have enough
experience.

I don't see any advantage in selecting GWU over GULC. The IP ranking is far
less important than the overall ranking. Besides, going to a T14 give you
more options in case you find out you are more interested in some other area
of law during law school.

GULC 应该还是比 GWU 好一点点吧

不要管别人说什么。想想你长远的career前景。你难道就想一直呆在现在的公司，或是
作一辈子的IP? 谁知道以后会怎样。所以给自己留多点余地和选择总是没错的！

The safety concern around GULC is overblown. It's true that the homeles
shelter is near the campus, but you don't have to walk by it if you choose
not to. The school provides shuttle to metro stations and free parking in
the underground garage after 5pm which is great for PT students.

They got a nice gym at GULC, too. An individual LCD TV on every cardio
machine. It guess it's a nice place to be if you never have to take a
stroll away from the campus.

GWU的IP更强一些，考虑到你在读PT，将来出来也基本上从事IP，而且GWU的location要
好一点，你已经进律所了，overall的rank也就不那末重要了。

打算继续做IP的话, 去GWU. 这个圈子里到处都是GWU的....

候多侧重别的方向，以后可以有更多的选择。
另外，即使某个方向再好，是不是也顶多选1-2门这个方向的课？

connections啊. 以后换工作或者打算在现在的所里往上爬, GWU做IP/patent的校友多,
说起来同声同气, 还是占不少便宜的
