Hate wirelss b/g after several months, not reliable enough.
So decided to connect two computers(1st floor PC and 2nd floor living-room
HTPC) with Ethernet. Initially I want to do it behind drywall, after some
investigation, decided that it's too hard for a novice like me, so gave up :)
Finally just took the easy approach, run the Cat 5e cable along the wall and
stairs, not too bad after all. You can buy those 'cable staple' in Home
Depot, but I only found staples for RG6(Cable TV cable) cables,

check your existing phone wires.... some builders use cat5, especially
if the home is relatively new. my home built in 1998 by centex used it
and I just modified the lines
