I just repaired my whirlpool water heater this week. It says that some of
them have design flaws. I called the customer service and they repaired it
for free.

I have a water heater from "American Water Heater". The same company also
makes some water heaters under "wirlpool" brand. They have a notorious
defect
in thermocouple, which makes the pilot flame off after only a few years.
There is a pending law suit against the company. The water heaters have 6
year
warranty. If you contact the company, they will know the problem instantly
because they have received so many comlains on this. They will send a
technician from Sears to replace the thermocouple f

呵呵，其实我及时看到答复了，只是因为忙于其他的事，忘记及时答谢了。我还没有更
换那个元件，但是不知为什么，被我重新瞎打火 一通，热水器好像又恢复正常了。
