以前一直是F2->H4,没有SSN.最近刚递了485，请问什么时候能开始申请SSN.现在行吗，
还是收到工卡以后，或者收到正式绿卡后？

W4填的exemption, 所以没有扣 federal tax, 现在银行要解释为啥

You can never get to that company again.(even for interview) That's it.

after you get the EAD, you can apply for SSN.

Here is the reason you can claim withholding exemption. You have to meet
both conditions. Otherwise it is fraud, and you will be subject to penalty
according to IRS.
I claim exemption from withholding for 2010, and I certify that I meet both
of the following conditions for exemption.
● Last year I had a right to a refund of all federal income tax withheld
because I had no tax liability and
● This year I expect a refund of all federal income tax withheld because I
expect to have no tax liability.

they put you in the "black" database? :-)
I did that once. 4 years later, I can't get interview even with the referal
of a director.
