求建议-home inspection results# Living

检查下来问题很多，房子是1965年raised ranch,不是砖房。检查发现foundation,
roof, electric system都有问题，有多处漏水，下水管道都生锈漏水，发现termite痕
迹，窗户也老到不能用了。主要想问下 foundation 和 termite的问题，看是不是很严
重。这样的房子还能买吗。inspector估计修下来可能要2万美元。
There are multiple cracks in the foundation. Some are large and require
further inspection and repair. Monitoring of cracks for future movement is
recommended.
There is termite damage around the garage door frame. Mud tunnels through
the framing and trim have deteriorated the wood. There are penetration holes
in the foundation and the sidewalk indicating a pest
control treatment in the past.

只要没塌就行，老美买房大多不想老中那么讲究。

I have experienced the similar situation. Eventually I did not offer to
purchase at all since the crack indicates the possibility of the foundation
problem, which could NOT be easily fixed at low cost.

it should be OK, considering this is a 1965's hosue.
