大理石和花岗岩做厨房卫生间台面到底有问题吗# Living

买房的时候做过Radon的测试，完全不超标，买下来后想把厨房和主卫的台面从原来的
人造合成材料换掉，结果听国内家人说现在大理石都是有放射性的，跟做装修的说不要
大理石，装修的提供了花岗岩，颜色不错，深褐色花纹，和我原先租的摩登公寓厨房台
面也很类似，我很喜欢，结果上网一查说花岗岩的Radon和放射性更高，而且颜色越深
越高。。。看了Marble Association of America的说法刚想放心，又出来一条信息说
这种协会是不会告诉你真相的，要想知道到底有没有放射性只有自己请人来测。。。难
道我把台面拆掉重装后第二次做Radon的测试，而且如果高了的话再拆掉？这不是折腾
吗。请高人指教

说实话，论辐射量/体积重量，钻石的最高。

大理石花岗石都有放射性，而且的确是花岗石更厉害，大理石比较小，没什么问题。你
们当时装的时候就该查一下。。。不过现在说这个没用了，装都装了，砸了也浪费。反
正也就是装在厨房里，我觉得问题不大。不过要注意通风，而且最好找人来测量一下.
其实很多材料都有这样那样的问题，比如甲醛超标等等，很多的问题比这个大多了。

Simply stay away from Marble or Granite counter tops then. Some stories
about radiation are really scary. Nothing you can do except either
pretending there's nothing wrong or hire professionals to do the actual test.

我敢负责人的说如果他的石头是在美国正规店内购买的而不是自己从中土带来的也
不是自己去山里挖来得放射性完全可忽略不计。如果放射性高到可以危害健康，美国
正规店内也不可能绝对不可能会有销售安全部门、质检部门早就那他们是问了动

The kitchen top looks cheap and I don't like the counter top design in
kitchen. The sink is above the top (my current apartment has the sink down
the top, which is very reasonable so water won't be splashed and easy to
clean)
The original bathroom top, because of the synthetic material, already caused
several little cracks in the sink. Although there is no leakage issue, it's
a big cosmetic problem. The previous owner provided seller credit for that,
meaning they recognized it was a flaw.

Lung cancer. He never smoked as far as I remember in his life and was very
self-disciplined. I read recently that the No. 1 cause of lung cancer for
non-smoker is Radon. Now thinking about it, I can say 80%+ chance he used to
live in some house with high Radon level.

前几天刚看了一个房子，其他装修很漂亮，就厨房的装修比较特别，是用一种厚木头做
的厨房台面，当时觉得有点奇怪，seller告诉我们这种木头是可以专门用来造厨房台面
的。看着还比较环保。
不知道是否像seller说的那样，如果是，建议你可以考虑这个。

看了半天没明白，既然lz对大理石／花岗岩这么不放心，那就别用好了。又不是只
有这两种材料。可以选Corian或其他合成的材料，手感和视觉效果都不差的。

要不你用Silestone (人工合成的石英石,好象是). 比Granite贵一点, 但看起来比较象
Granite. 说是比Granite Durable, 还抗菌. 不过也有人说,看上去不自然, 比较假.
毕竟不是天然的.

我身边太多朋友亲戚得癌症了，首要特征，他们都曾经住过新屋。
我一再根身边朋友说新屋不能立刻入住。可惜没有人多少人听得进去。
氡气绝对是肺癌头号祸首。
请问石英台面只有homedepot有吗？还是一般 contractor 也能够弄到。

氡是天然铀同位素的放射衰变产物，是无色无味比空气重的气体，所以地下室这种通风
不畅的地方容易累积，像厨房这种常常通风的地方根本不会累积...

I have done some research on this topic before.
Conclusion:
Interest groups down play the risk of granite radiation, and may people here buy into that crap.

显然的。现在人造材料比如杜邦的corian比granite贵，将来granite还会更便宜的，最
后比formica，laminate都便宜。

我这次装修的经验是，人造corian的好处是只要你不拿明火使劲烧它，想怎么折腾就怎么折腾
，绝对搞不坏。无论搞的多脏，擦一把就完了。

你这么敏感干什么？我们这里好学区的房子基本都是这样，就算人家没来得及换的或者
不高兴换的，还摆块样板在那里并且提供discount呢。
现在就是流行这个，又不是我杜撰出来的，看看新房子的厨房就知道了

囧，原来您老就是来活跃气氛的。呵呵，我真没其他意思。主要是发现老美还是比较喜
欢那种风格的，我们买房自己住了开心很重要，有时候也要兼顾一下大众品味这样方便
以后resale啊。
