七月买房，十一月refinancing。在Wells Fargo，从十二月开始付。十二月的mortgage是今年一月处付的。
现在报去年税时，能报十二月mortgage interest?
Wells Fargo网上说2011年没有任何报税的mortgage/interest.
有懂得XD说说？

我的理解是不可以。

Most of us individual taxpayers are cash method taxpayers. Cash method
taxpayer can only take deductions when she makes the payment.
That is, we look at when the interest is paid.

11 月 refi 的时候 prepaid interest 部分是可以抵的吧
12月的 1 月付，那就是明年再说。

接着这个话题，还有一个问题。
去年CLOSING时，付了去年下半年的PROPERTY税，去年九月份时，又付了今年上半年的
PROPERTY税。
现在报去年税时，能报十二个月的PROPERTY税吗？

You need to get the Year End Statement (Form 1089) from your bank which has
both the mortgage interest (Box 1) and the property tax you have paid in
2011.

mortgage是今年一月处付的。

The Year End Statement (Form 1089) from previous mortgage company has the
info about the second half property tax I paid.
But I've not received any form regarding the first half property tax I paid
while closing
Should I just use the property tax data in HUD1 (purchasing time) for my tax
return?
