generally, all home warranty companies have bad reputations. AHS is a big
one, and relatively better. I had AHS that seller bought for me for the
first year. my oven broke and used them once. that service experience is
pretty good, no hassle at all. I didn't renew after the first year. but
now, I purchased their plan again because I have a 17 years old HVAC that
could die anytime.
AHS has build your own plan now, choose the appliance and home system you
want to be covered, and 3 level of deductible (75, 100, 125). the higher
the deductible, the lower the premium. Mine comes out $36.xx a month with $
125. A good thing is, I can pay them month by month now. if something
comes up, and I am not happy with their service, I will cancel and stop
payment right away.

AHS is useless. They will not REPLACE your old AC with a new one. They will
only patch it up and also find all kind of excuses to not even patch up.
