your property tax =
residential tax revenues / total assessed property value * your property
value
"residential tax revenues" is more often referred to as tax levy - it is
impacted by the economics and local laws, but definitely not proportional
to the home market.
and the term "your property value / total assessed property value" has
little to do with the market, especially for average homes...

不是Median Real Estate Taxes Paid，哪里说什么RATIO
看上去就平均房地产税么，还是2010年的，当然就是年税了，
MEDIAN就是中值么，搞些RATIO是啥啊，不懂，你们最好说
清楚些，别搞得跟律师似的，那么词不就想糊弄偶们的钱吗
纽约的住个百万豪宅，才交8000的地产税，多便宜哪里贵啦

One of my friends in Scarsdale of Westchester County NY purchased her home
two years ago for $950K. She is paying the property tax at $30K yearly. I
think the house was assessed at $1.25M or so

最新的，大家又涨了。
Across the United States as a whole, between 2007 and 2011, 60% of counties
reported average property tax burdens of between $500 and $1,500 a year.
That might cover one month's tax burden for many homeowners in one of the
three most expensive counties: Westchester County, N.Y. ($9,647 a year);
Nassau County, N.Y., ($9,080) and Bergen County, N.J. ($8,893).
Another five counties in New Jersey had average annual burdens topping $8,
000.
