Short update on Egypt below to give you some context for the call in 5
min. Dial in details below.
Egypt: under pressure
Markets in Egypt have been under intense pressure as street protests
continued for a third day yesterday. Equities prices have fallen by
16% since the protests began with trading briefly suspended at one
point yesterday. CDS spreads have widened sharply to 347 basis points
from 237 at the start of the year. The Egyptian pound has also been
under pressure, falling by almost 1% against the US dollar so far this
week – a small move for most markets but large by Egyptian standards.
The government will be under pressure to deliver a swift economic
response to some of the sources of unrest. Food price inflation is
running at 17% (y/y) and inflationary pressures more generally are
also rising. Not surprisingly, CBE kept interest rates on hold
yesterday but are likely to use their substantial foreign reserves
(about $57 billion) to ensure that inflationary pressures are not
exacerbated by a weaker pound. Price subsidies may be increased
although scope for doing so is constrained by relatively weak public
finances: the budget deficit will be about 8.2% of GDP and government
debt 82% of GDP this year according to our estimates. S&P also warned
yesterday that unrest within the region could have an adverse fiscal
impact as governments seek to prevent popular discontent by trying to
stabilize or lower the price of food and fuel (citing Egypt, Algeria,
Jordan, and to a lesser extent Morocco, as most at risk). Today is
already another volatile day, with further large scale protests
planned and Mohamed ElBaradei, a vocal critic of the Mubarak
administration, returning to Egypt yesterday to support the protests.

如果房子已经有这个,只是换个风扇,可以买了试着自己换。如果是要打洞
装管子,还是请专业人士吧,这个活不是一般人干的

the headline news is actually the consequence of the QE2 which successfully
export the inflation to the other countries. you will expect more violence
to come in the coming months.
the underlying economy grows much slower than many people believed. with
commodity prices soaring to new levels, 3.2% is not a sustainable growth
with 9% unemployment rate and we will expect a much lower earnings in coming
quarter. stocks are too expensive now.
