就算是我的孩子学得比较好,我也不能得出结论来代表种族啊。
话说我的孩子文科学得也蛮好的,英文,历史啥的分数也比平均分高,所以,接受了学
校重文的影响,也没丢家里重理的传统?

A study at Harvard Medical School has shown that students are successful in
their medical studies regardless of undergraduate concentration, providing
that they have had adequate science preparation. Students are urged to

My understanding is - although a student can major in anything, but a
series of science core classes, especially in Bio, have to be fulfilled in
order to apply for medical school. That's "adequate science preparation" as you mentioned in your quote.
For that reason, many pre-med students choose to major in Biology/Chemistry or similar discipline as their majors, so they can fulfill both pre-med and the major requirement with same set of course work. Of course one can major in History or Geography and appy for med school. However, he/she will then have to fulfill both the history curriculum AND pre-med curriculum requirements.
This also explain the confusion of "pre-med". It is NOT a major. It's a
track that the students taking courses to meet the medical school's pre-req. Many college would provide advising on how to fulfill the medical school
pre-req requirements within the school's course offering. The student still
needs to meet the requirement of the major he/she choose.

I would say logic reasoning is the key for any majors. Regarding logic
reasoning, solving a tough AMC 12 question and dissecting an economy
review are equally beneficial and challenging.

Like watering the MIT board? Just kidding. They are too young for that.
One way to train a kid in this subject is to join a debate team at his/her
school or after-school. Kids can learn "correct" and "incorrect" logic
reasoning and efficient and inefficient arguments. They might even choose a
topic like "Should we support SB-48 in California?" Of course, their way of
debating such topic is polite and logical, instead of name-calling and scare
tactics.

Frankly speaking, I think critical thinking/skepticism is more important for
