Position: Web Development Software Engineer, ***** Enterprise Business
Systems Team
Location: Managed from Troy, MI; employee can be located in any ***** Office.
***** Enterprise Business System (EBS) Team is currently seeking highly
talented and motivated individuals for the position of Senior Programmer for
Web Application Development.
The EBS Team is engaged in the design, development, deployment and support
of both in-house and commercial web-applications. These applications are
used by *****’s software development, engineering services, sales and
support, finance, legal, HR, administration and IT systems. The EBS
solutions are used across all of *****'s US and global offices and
subsidiaries.
Each individual on the ***** EBS Team plays a key role in the end-to-end
design, development, Q/A, deployment, delivery documentation and training
for these solutions. All team members regularly interact with senior
management (VP and C-level) in order to gather requirements and feedback on
their products.
A place on the EBS Team allows for great visibility and career advancement
throughout *****'s global organization.
Summary: A challenging opportunity to create original framework for the
development and implementation of business applications. This full
development life cycle role is involved in creating mission critical
applications for all ***** departments.
Essential Job Functions
• Full lifecycle application development
• Design, code, and debug applications in various software languages
• Identify and promote business process improvements
• Enhance existing programs by analyzing and identifying areas for
modification
• Software testing and quality assurance
• Gather and assess userfeedback
• Support documentation on system procedures, common problem
resolutions, and training
• Offer technical support for business applications as needed
• Maintain, enhance, and integrate existing Web applications
Required Qualifications
• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field
• 4-5 years experience in web based development
• Solid programming and database skills
• Sound analytical and problem solving skills
• Self motivated with proven success in creative web development
Desired Skills:
• User interface design background
• Perl, Apache, HTML, JavaScript, MySQL, UNIX
• Experience interacting with individuals from a variety of countries
and cultures
