My relative is going back to China and his contract with AT&T is not yet
over (several months left). Can he bring the phone (i-phone) back to use in
China? AT&T says he has to pay early termination fee to unlock in order to
use the device (in China). Is this accurate?
He had registered his i-phone with an Apple ID but the account information
including password is lost. Does this affect the ability to unlock the i-
phone? i.e., can we create another Apple ID to associate with the existing
phone to complete the unlock process (after paying ETF to AT&T)?

no,付了early termination fee才可以解，不过可以去ebay试试看可不可以
no，apple id跟解锁无关
no，必须找到原有的apple id密码才可以，如果有收据等信息的话，可以去找apple试
试看他们能不能帮你取消，不要抱太大希望。
