最近看Fountainhead，才看了一百来页已经不想继续了。书里所有的人物都极度的
stereotyped，黑白分明，好坏立判。一言一行都端着架子完全predictable.她的
所谓独创哲学我也非常不感冒。有人看过能谈谈吗？我怕我这么放弃万一miss了后
面的精髓什么的 =)。
再加一句：事实上如果我现在还是十五六岁，也许我会狂喜欢这本书。可是这么高
hype的一本所谓影响深远的书，在我看来只适合teenagers。郁闷。

哎，你不错了，我们LD是Ayn Rand迷，特喜欢她的哲学，几乎看了她所有的书，声称是其
favorite作家。逼着我看她的Atlas Shrugged，我看了2年，也就看了50到100 页。据说
那是她最好的一部之一。

i like her works. but it is kinda of boring if you cannot catch the sense and
power she worked.

I had the same situation when I started reading. It's like listening to
someone's preaching. But if you like the preaching you'll enjoy it.
Otherwise read some critic's essays will be good enough.

Yeah. It's exactly the preaching that puts me off. And I never liked preaches.
Especially since I already pretty much got the idea that she wanted to get
across, yet she just goes on and on, with all the predictable words and plots.
It gets quite boring real soon. I guess this is just not my cup of tea. Her
hero is an insufferable egoist to me. I mean, it's one thing to promote
independent spirit, but all that self-important elitism is just too much for
me.

Her readers r more or less like a cult now, it's unapologetic materialism,
and yeah, self-important and self-righteous, almost to the extend of
hallucination. I read half of "Atlas shrugged", that's about the only book
i can't finish.
