How do you know what you sense is "real"?
It's only the signals interpreted by your brain anyway.
See,if all you have is a naked brain, no body, no limbs, no eyes, ears, etc.
Some superbeings made an appropriate interfaces between your brain and a
simulated world. When you want to move your arm, the interface picks up your
brain signals and moves some virtual arms in a virtual world, and feeds any
thing you "touched" back to your brain. How could you distinguish?
Or you can think on another ques

Popper's theory can easily answer the matrix question:
The idea of matrix may not be refutable and it is not a science. You can call
it a religion if you want.
Since it is based on belief, a science pratictioner does not need to study it
at all. It is no more different than FLG.

It's actually a science. While we may not be able to detect our fate, we could
play the role of GOD and try to create a Matrix for various reasons. Those questions
have to be carefully evaulated before a whole scale system establishs.

that's true. I cant believe that totally either.. but I have to believe it,
or there's nothing real or meaningful in the world, right?
no way to distinguish and that has no meaning to me. :D
define "real". plz.

More about matrix and FLG.
Think about this, if LHZ only got a movie based on FLG and did not have many
diciples, we may like it however absurd it is since it is mere the kind of YY
a lot of people here like. :-)
Then if the matrix established a cult and got millions of followers, isn't it
the same thing as FLG now?
Now you see the similarity.

That's the old proverb, "Anything too much is bad". Eating too much banana can
kill. Drinking too much water can kill. Sleeping too much can...at least get you
sick. Spending too much resource on anything is generally bad.
So it's okay to YY once a while as long as you don't spend 5 hours every day on that

The is difference between science and Matrix/FLG like.
Study too much science is not bad at all, but not Matrix/FLG.
