I don't know stock (will try to learn some though), and just try to play. Is
5K enough for the first time player (5K is the amount that I can afford to
loose without any regret)?

5k just good to test water as a newcomer, no more no less
add more gradually when you get more experiences
but it is a thrilling addictive GAME with headache and fun
think it over before you jump in

对新手来说，刚好相反吧
我也刚炒不久，5千是够了，尽量少操作，每个股最好能hold到出水
