keep it real。

Here is the sketch of the joke, hope this helps LZ understand better
1. Joe was poor, the school was poor...
2. The students were asked to contribute to build a road to the school.
3. Everyone worked hard for three month and finished the project.
4. Joe heard about the term "child labor" recently.
5. Surprised that those kids even got paid, because he was not paid, and
even got a D- for his volunteer work.
This somehow reflects one of the famous observations by Mark Twain: If you
are not paid, or even need to pay to do something, it is fun; but if you are
paid to do the same thing then it is hard work.
The joke actually prompts the audience to think a little about poverty and
child labor in a different light. Not bad at all.
