A colleague had a new baby.
How much gift card should I give? What is the tradition here in USA? Regular
relation, work related.

about $20-up depending on how you want to please her/him, or buy baby stuff,
or do a baby shower with other colleagues together.

the tradition here is "baby shower", a party-like gathering before the baby
is born, and friends can prepare gifts for the baby. But some people don't
have "baby shower." You can have gift cards or baby clothes, toys.
I won't suggest 10-dollar gift card unless it is for kids.

Thank you all. appreciate. Nobody proposed babyshower. I actually gave a $
100 gift card. The colleague did not seem to appreciate anything. Hard to
understand their way of life philosophy, probably it is culture difference.
