爸爸妈妈1号从北京出发经旧金山转机，这条线走了好几趟了，爸妈图个熟悉不想换别
的城市转机，可这次转机时间比上次少了30分钟，才1小时50分钟了。按照以往的经验
时间也应该够的，但最近在版上看到好几个帖子说最近海关行李查得严了，有点担心在
行李上耽误太多时间，有哪位朋友最近走过旧金山能讲讲么？多谢多谢了！

现在在一个学校做Visiting Assistant Professor，用的是H1B，合同到5月就结束了，
但是新的学校的合同要在8月才会开始，不知道这种情况能做什么，如果呆在美国不回
国的话，需要怎样处理这三个月的gap呢？各位前辈不吝赐教。

你自己尽量少带东西，最好没有托运，就不容易被抽查了。

去问新的学校的国际部。

Sounds a little problem. You should ask your current school or new school.

Ask the new school to submit your H1B transfer before your contract end,
once you receive your receipt of your application, you would be fine staying
at US.
Normally, it will take couple of month to get the H1B transfer approval if
you don't do PP

AC21 Portability needs new application with effective LCA to cover the
pending period but apparently LZ does NOT have a job offer/contract May to
Aug for the position on LCA... my $0.02, ignore if I was wrong.

我在原来的学校申请了一个summer teaching,原来的H1B也在生效期，应该是没问题了
吧。还是绿卡好啊...

If I would like to transfer H1B from university A to University B. Do I need
to reapply a new H1B, or just transfer the current one. Because once the
transfer request filed, I can begin to work in the new university. Am I
understanding right? Thanks a lot!!!
I do not need to go through prevailing wage, right?
