My situation is like this:
I started working in my current company on OPT before I finished my PhD, but
I finished my qualifier and prelim, all that was left to do was final defen
se. My work has nothing to do with my PhD degree topic, but has a lot to do
with my background and my major. So my work is a match with my background, b
ut not my dissertation topic.
I have BS and MS degree in China, only a PhD degree in US. In my case, can I
use my PhD degree for H1B application? or I have to do an evaluation of my
educational equivalency?
Do you have any recommendation for the evaluation besides www.wes.org? How m
uch do they charge?
I have no idea how this works at this point. Please advise!
