自从OpenAI推出ChatGPT以来，人们对于生成式人工智能（generative AI）的担忧之声不绝于耳。
上周二，OpenAI首席执行官Samuel Altman出席了美国国会举行的关于人工智能监管的听证会。
听证会上，Altman 基本上同意议员们的观点，即有必要对他的公司以及谷歌和微软等公司正在开发的日益强大的人工智能技术进行监管。
他还表示，OpenAI目前没有在训练更高版本，例如GPT-5，并且在未来6个月内也没有这样的计划。
对于AI是否会和人类“抢饭碗”，Altman承认，新技术可能会使得部分人失去工作，但同时也会创造新的就业机会。
在翻译、编程、广告等一众被预言将为AI取代的行业中，有个令人意想不到的行业，一早感受到了来自AI咄咄逼人的威胁。
前不久，“冷门歌手”孙燕姿的AI翻唱在网上大火，人们突然发现，原来具有独特辨识度的人类音色，也是可以批量复制的。
昨天，孙燕姿突然在久未更新的博客上发了一篇小作文，对AI翻唱进行了回应。
孙燕姿是新加坡人，英语和中文都是新加坡的官方语言，原文是用英语写的。
孙燕姿的文笔不错，真诚率直，既有对AI技术发展一日千里的理性淡然，也带着一丝被AI超越的悲悯与无力，最后却是以豁然达观的态度收尾。
文章不长，英文一共438字，语法上有些随意，但不少用词很贴切到位。
有热心网友翻译成了中文，被孙燕姿工作室稍作修改后，也贴到了网站的中文版上。

Whether it is ChatGPT or AI or whatever name you want to call it, this "thing" is now capable of mimicking and/or conjuring, unique and complicated content by processing a gazillion chunks of information while piecing and putting together in a most coherent manner the task being asked at hand. Wait a minute, isn't that what humans do?
无论是ChatGPT、AI或叫什么名字都无所谓，这个“东西”能够通过处理海量的信息，同时以最连贯的方式拼接组合手头的任务，来模仿和/或创造出独特而复杂的内容。等一下，这不就是人类已经在做的吗？

This new technology will be able to churn out what exactly EVERYTHING EVERYONE needs. As indie or as warped or as psychotic as you can get, there's probably a unique content that could be created just for you. You are not special you are already predictable and also unfortunately malleable.

At this point, I feel like a popcorn eater with the best seat in the theatre. (Sidenote: Quite possibly in this case no tech is able to predict what it's like to be me, except when this is published then ok it's free for all). It's like watching that movie that changed a lot of our lives Everything Everywhere All At Once, except in this case, I don't think it will be the idea of love that will save the day.
