美国商务部长雷蒙多与中国商务部长王文涛通话简报

昨晚，美国商务部长吉娜·雷蒙多与中华人民共和国商务部长王文涛进行了通话。这次通话是对两位部长去年11月在加州亚太经合组织领导人会议期间会晤的跟进。双方强调了利用美中两国商务部建立的工作组处理令人关切的商务议题的重要性。此外，双方还讨论了工作组举行面对面会谈的计划。雷蒙多部长还重申，国家安全是没有谈判余地的，同时强调美国政府“小院高墙”的做法不是为了遏制中国的经济发展，而是旨在保障我们的国家安全和价值观，同时又避免对贸易与投资造成不应有的限制。

Last night, Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo held a call with Minister of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China (PRC) Wang Wentao. Following up on their last meeting in November 2023 during the APEC Leaders Summit in California, Secretary Raimondo and Minister Wang emphasized the importance of leveraging the working group that the U.S. Department of Commerce and the PRC’s Ministry of Commerce established to address commercial issues of concern. In addition, the two discussed plans for an in-person meeting of the working group. Secretary Raimondo also reiterated that national security is not negotiable and emphasized that the United States Government’s “small yard, high fence” approach is not about containing China’s economic development. Rather, it aims to safeguard our national security and values without unduly limiting trade and investment.
