Who: Adults 18 and over who are interested in improving their English speaking skills by talking about fun topics
What: A weekly English conversation session on interesting topics in the US and beyond

You must be over 18 years old to participate. English teachers, young professionals and university students are highly encouraged to register. May not be appropriate for beginners.

Facilitator Bio
Mario Meza started his career in education 23 years ago volunteering in a daycare center teaching children how to read by using music in a dynamic and joyful way. Originally from Colombia, South America, he graduated from B.A in education and began teaching ages PK to 12 ESL using music as the content area. In 2016 he received his Master’s degree in Science in Education from State University of New York and moved to the US where he taught in Public, Public chatters and Private schools around the DC area. He is currently a member of the Embassy Music Choir “The DipNotes”.

Participants must be 18 years old and over. The event will be conducted in English. Audio or video recording of the program will not be permitted.
You must bring your valid photo ID in order to get into the BAC. Copies or pictures of IDs will not be accepted. Large bags and laptops will not be allowed into BAC for this event. Portable electronic devices, such as mobile phones, iPads and other tablets, and smartwatches are allowed to get in the BAC. Please wait in line at the East Gate of the embassy.
Please arrive 20 minutes earlier ahead of the start time. You will NOT be admitted if you arrive half an hour after the program has started.
Attendees grant permission to the U.S. Department of State to photograph and video record their image and/or voice. Permission is granted for the U.S. Department of State to release, publish, broadcast or quote this material in public information programs and activities. Content procured may be included in future speeches, on the Internet, through multiple broadcast channels and print media. Use of content (image, audio or ideas) will not be used for commercial purposes.

Directions: Metro Line 10, Liangmaqiao Station Exit B, walk northeast to the Tian Ze Road intersection of An Jia Lou Road, north side of the Visas Office.
