在概念中学习单词

  有的时候，会去读短小的文章。遇到了生词就会去查字典。开始的时候，会把单词写在一个笔记本上去记，  发现效果并不好。  年轻人和记忆力好的人，应该会很快的记住所遇到的生词。可是象我这样年岁大的人，记起生词就不那么容易了。唯一的办法就是不断的复习 。后来觉得在读概念的时候学习单词，要比单记生词要好一些。今天在复习生词的时候，觉得这几个（定义）很好 ，就干脆把它们写在这里。

 (1) Mollusk :  软体动物

  Definition 定义：

  an invertebrate of a large phylum that includes snails, slugs, mussels, and octopuses. They have a soft unsegmented body and live in aquatic or damp habitats, and most kinds have an external calcareous shell.

----一种无脊椎动物，包括蜗牛，蛞蝓，贻贝和章鱼。它们有柔软的未分节的身体，生活在水生或潮湿的栖息地，大多数种类的外部有钙质外壳。

  (2) Plankton:--浮游生物

  Definition: 定义：

  The small and microscopic organisms drifting or floating in the sea or fresh water, consisting chiefly of diatoms, protozoans, small crustaceans, and the eggs and larval stages of larger animals. Many animals are adapted to feed on plankton, especially by filtering the water. 

  在海洋或淡水中漂流或者漂浮的微生物体型微小，有些种类的浮游生物甚至只有幼虫阶段。主要由硅藻，原生动物，小型甲壳类动物以及较大动物的卵以及幼虫组成。许多动物都采取以浮游生物为食，尤其是被水滤过的浮游生物。

 (3) Photosynthesis : 光合作用

  Definition: 定义：

   The process by which green plants and some other organisms use sunlight to synthesize foods from carbon dioxide and water. Photosynthesis in plants generally involves the green pigment chlorophyll and generates oxygen as a byproduct.

   --绿色植物和其他一些生物利用阳光从二氧化碳和水合成食物的过程。植物的光合作用通常涉及绿色色素叶绿素并产生氧气作为副产品。
