The main thing is you need to have your own make file. But I think you may
need still Xcode to create UI.

真想搞个电高压锅。电饭锅坏了后，就用蒸锅对付了。都大半年了。上次的高压锅DEAL

Xcodebuild should build. I did build a library using make too, it is not
that difficult either. The main thing is how to run the debugger with the
simulator, i haven't found a solution there, which is a show stopper.

Have you tried gdb? I think it takes arguments, but not sure if it helps to
launch the simulator.
