Finally we ordered a 2014 X5 with 5% off mrsp and saved over $3k. That is
not bad for a new model. I was a little worried about the reliability of
the new generation, but really did not want to buy a 2013 model. I swore
not to buy a BMW again and was looking for a ML 350 or 550z. After testing
drive ML, I decided to take the risk and wish its quality could improve. The
price is close between ML350 and X5 with similar options. But X5 does
accelerate faster and is very fun to drive. The cargo space is larger for
X5 too. I do like the head up display and surround view and control panel.
I do not like ML installs the shift gear on the steering wheel. Anyway I
hope I have made a right choice.

Stop thinking the reliability crap, most of cars if you correctly drive and
maintain are pretty reliable.

报个 package 和价格呗。我是喜欢ML, 我家LD就觉得ML加速慢，超车不利。但X5的刹
车是不是太敏感了？正准备选一个买呢。

all wheel drive, black outside, beige leather inside, cold weather package,
running board, rear side widow shades, driver assistants package, driver
assistance plus with active driving assistant. I only buy the options I
really want. I had 3rd row seats in my current one, but have not even used
that once for over five years. Mrsp is a little over $62k.
But I have to warn you my current one breaks downs many times. We have all
regular maintenance and repairs done at BMW only. Still there are many
problems. I have a colleague who has two BMWs and he told me he would never
buy BMW again. Good luck on yours if you buy one. I will buy extended
warranty for sure.

南卡产的和欧洲进的质量差好多。。反正只要有时间跑dealer，nothing to worry...

你就给个痛快说出门价多少呗。我家最近买车这事把人能烦死，车型从小sedan考虑到
suv，预算从四万能再翻一翻，真是越看眼光越高，觉得这不合适那不合适的，没目标
真是烦人啊。一周前去试驾新x5，dealer居然说还没货，真不知道这车啥时候能买了。

What I got is exactly 5% off the sticker price. Tax, title and license are
extra. I do not remeber the exact number. It is different in different
locations anyway. I will trade in my current one and can save tax on that.

Forgot to add. The 2014 model will not be delivered till late October. I
was told the production has not started yet. I would be happy if I can get
it mid November.

没有，连m的都不是。。没办法，4年trade in或者extend warranty吧。。

谢谢。dealer说到十月底十一月才有车。其实我们那天是想看看新x5的内饰相对旧的有
多大提高，车性能是挺好的，没啥挑的，旧x5那个内饰我们实在觉得有点简陋。祝你早
日拿到车！

多谢！我觉得我现在的车内饰还可以，个人感觉比我试驾的ML 350和550要好一些。可
能是各人喜好不同吧。另外ml的控制面板要小很多，换档在方向盘上，后视镜也要小一
些，不太适应。不过ML 质量会好一些，也至少可以拿到5%的折扣。另外，x5 方向盘很
重，我已经适应了。

I just picked the basics, not even the luxury line. It is mostly used as a
school bus. I just want it not to be worse than the current one and do not
want to overspend. It depreciates so quickly anyway.

you did not choose any of the three pre-configured lines? xline is really
nice which comes with running board, plus grey 19' wheels. I got 6% off msrp
62575 but earliest delivery is early Nov.

Unfortunately I did not do that. I simply picked the options and packages I
wanted to buy. I am not good at buying cars at all. The best I could get
is 5% off and they gave me a trade in price which was $1k higher than others
. Another dealer offered 4% off and promised to beat my best offer by $300.
But it could not even match that guy's offer. Another dealer offered only
$300 off. $300, not $3,000. The guy who sold me my current one told me he
sold all at sticker prices. He offered me $2k off because I was a repeat
customer. I have to say you get a nice deal of 6% off.

恭喜楼主。至少保修期内不用担心吧。
我现在也在考虑买个好点的车。为什么凭着钱买不到一个既豪华又耐用的车？以前挺想
买欧洲车的。前几天一个开BMW的版上哥们说以后绝对不买欧着车，因为开欧着车会对
家庭造成极大的心理伤害。欧洲车容易坏不说，而且配件极贵，连修车的手工费都贵不
少。

楼主这真是让人羡慕嫉妒以及恨啊,x5是很好的车，是车都会坏，enjoy driving就好了。
14的x5是大改款，内饰改了不少更奢华也更省油，三排座也终于把空悬给配上了（虽然
国内的早就是标配）。5%off不错的deal，很多都只给2k off的。能跟这车比的估计只
有高配的Q7和GL了吧，途锐跟这比都显得不上档了（尽管宝马的导航是硬伤）。
