我爸妈2008年秋天第一次来美国住了不到3个月。这回打算用中信代签。填写DS 160表
格时有几个拿不准的问题，想请教大家帮忙看看填写的是否正确。多谢啦。
1.Have you ever used other names？
我回答了"NO"。不过我隐约记得某前辈曾经提到过，即使没有曾用名也需要把姓名用
拼音再填一边，而且每两个字之间空一个。是这样的吗？
2.Are you the principal applicant？
我回答了"YES“，并选择了B2类型，对吗？
3.Relative's（也就是我的） Status：
我回答了“nonimmigrant”。我是H1B, I-485 Pending，这样回答正确吗？
4.Primary Occupation?
我妈妈没有过正式工作，曾经一直作临时工，所以没有退休一说。十几年前开始自己
在家里经营一个小本生意直到现在。应该填"not employed", "homemaker" or "others
"？我在下面的"Explain"空格中写”SELF-EMPLOYED IN RUNNING A NEIGHBORHOOD

Sorry for not being able to type in Chinese. The recruiter contacted me and
I have no idea the job would be like. It seems like a consultant type of job
for PhDs.

I have 500k cash, looking for a new business. any one knows the check cash
out business, is the amount enough for the start up ? Sorry for typing no
Chinese in my computer.

Epic HR wrote on my resume "require visa", and never contacted me again.
But maybe it was me looking stupid :)
I thought they make softwares for healthcare industry? Are we talking about
the same epic?

Yes, the same epic.
Are you a fresh graduate using your OPT? That will be my case. If it did not
work for you, then will not for me either. I hoped to do consulting a
couple of years ago, but am hesitating now. I am old now :(

Yes I am an F1 and will need OPT or H1B.
Don't give up. Our cases look very different. Their HR was looking for
software engineers in a job fair, and I had zero experience. Also it was two
years ago, when the economy was getting really worse. If a recruiter is
contacting you, it probably already means your status is considered cleared.
I feel healthcare industry is THE field for a bio Ph.D. but also understand
your concern about consulting... I would just go ahead and talk to the
recruiter or re

我爸妈都填NO,他们从来没有改过名字。唯一的差别是，以前的签证上把名的第一和第
二个字分开了。现在新护照及其他的文件上都是把两个字合起来的。如果你父母的名只
有一个字，我觉得根本没有必要选Yes,多此一举。

哦，这样我就明白为什么要再填一遍了，如果上一次签证上First Name是AAA BBB，那
么这一次写了AAABBB，那么就应当把AAA BBB当作曾用名填上。我爸妈First Name都是
两个字。那么从您爸妈的经历来看，不从新把AAA BBB当曾用名填上去也没有问题啦？
好像本版的FAQ是这么说的。
Occupation如果填写homemaker不会增加被拒的可能性吧？好像如果选了homemaker就没
有额外的Explain项来解释是自己做小本生意了。
