像找对象，娶媳妇差不多。对第一次买房子的人来说，真不知如何挑选。
买房子的一个原则是看要买的房子好不好卖。本着这个原则就和大家讨论几个买房子应
注意的问题。但愿对正在挑选房子的人是个帮助。
离工作地点近是一个你个人的问题，和以后卖房子关系不大。学区好很重要，有孩子的
人买房子要考虑这个因素，好的学区的房子会招揽来更多的买客。当然价钱也是重要的
因素之一，你买的便宜，你卖的时候才能用价格招揽买客。
谈到价钱，就要大家千万注意别买没完工的房子。很多人说，买没完工的房子，可以有
自己的选择。听起来倒是这个理，但我们中国人的审美观和美国人的多少有点差别。你
选择的样式，颜色，布局，可能美国人不喜欢。请记住，卖房子时，大多数买客是美国
人。更重要的是，你买了后，你可能就上了这支贼船了。房产商可能以种种原因加价，
他们还会因为有了买主而偷工减料。有人说了，这是在美国，房产商不会骗人。错，记
住，天下乌鸦一般黑。我就认识一个人，买了没完工的房子，那是哑巴吃黄莲，有苦难

当初差点申请她lab
她刚发第一篇CSC的时候还有个访谈，里面还抱怨新PI过活不容易，还没拿到NIH经费，
云云
现在早鸟枪换炮，NIH经费拿了一大把，还hhmi
不光此女，还耳闻一个和amy差不多新的PI，界内也已经站住跟脚，但data存在问题，
目前还没有败露，也许永远也不会败露
生存压力面前，造不造假，考验的是职业操守

Amy 似乎还不错。跟她联系，回信都比较及时。
再说nature news上的口吻对她还是蛮中性的。不至于太大影响。

这么明显的失误（一图两用）对一个PI的影响应该还是挺大的吧。
nature news 把两张图摆出来，好像是在抽人嘴巴。

两篇的1作是同一人么？如果是，还可以说是1作造的，如果非，多半就是PI造的了

I am wondering those PIs who have 10 to 20 postdocs and been away from bench
for years, how do they
judge the data from their own labs. I don't think this would hurt her too
much since most PIs are in the same
"boat", if she is not overly hated, she should be fine.
by the way, I was not impressed by her science, her stuff maybe a little
inventive, but nothing deep. She seems
to do everything well, very eloquent, but nothing special in science at all.

Most PIs could tell, even been away from bench for years (BTW, she hasn't
been!). I totally disagree that most PIs are in the same 'boat'. This
is really an irresponsible statement.

I agree with you on this. Heard her job talk, and I wasn't the only one
unimpressed in the room.

No PI would be as dumb as that. But it does not mean she holds a high standard about
the integrity of her science. It is not
unusual now that PIs are pushing the data to their fantasized directions,
and people in their labs are "making"
whatever they want, both are for survival....
Actually it is very sad, but true. This is the most frustrating part for me.
But life goes on, no profession is
perfect I guess. You just have to make sure yourself would not do things
like that.
