比如我用endnote插入的文献，有时候输出的作者名是Zhang Ss, 有时候是Zhang SS，
有时候是Zhang S.
是因为这个人叫做Zhang San San，但是在我引入的不同文献被识别为多种形式，有时
候是Zhang San s，但是在其他一部分我引入的文献里面是Zhang San，还有是Zhang
San San，还有可能有 Zhang San S.
我的问题是怎么把这一堆合并了？我如果通过term list找到author list，然后修改的
时候，如果这个人跟现有的list重合，那么我就不能点OK的按钮来确定，所以也就不能
修改。
我现在只能一个一个搜索文献点开有所有信息的窗口去给这个人改名字，但是我有很多
这样的名字啊。
请问怎么合并啊？

我碰到这种问题的时候是用Word 软件里的　find/replace/replace all
来半手动地解决的。

Edit-->Output styles-->Edit Style-->Author Name
对于其它格式也可以用类似的方法修改。

Author Name选哪种格式啊？里面有As is，capital, normal 等等，我都试了好像不行

要么采取曲线救国的方法？就是采用不同杂志的格式，比方说有些杂志
的引用格式只写作者的　last name, 而first name initial 就不写。
这样就绕过了你说的这个问题了。

我刚看了。
在Initials里面，有Full name, Last name only, A.B., A B 以及AB可选。这些都试
过了吗？

大哥，你给扫个盲吧。
我曾经很想用latex，但是找了些教程看了以后发现那东西只能输出pdf文件。你知道我
们做生物的经常要把文件传来传去，让别人批阅修改，pdf文件显然很不方便。如果
latex能输出word文件就好了。
在linux下如何管理海量文献也是我不懂的地方，现在我依赖的是endnote，学校有大客
户版本，我们免费试用。
现在我对windows依赖的就是office和endnote，不然我就投奔linux阵营了。

Changing the Harvard output style
If you don't like the new Harvard showing authors and editors in capital
letters it is very easy to change.
Go to Edit, Output Styles and then either Edit "Harvard" if that appears or
Open Style Manager and select Harvard from the list and click on the Edit
button.
In the box to the left of the screen look at the headings under Bibliography
and select Author Name. You will see that it says All Upper Case in the
Capitalization box in the middle of the screen. Select As Is from the pick
list. Then go back to the list on the left and do the same for Editor Name
and then close the style saving the changes.
We've created an edited version of the Harvard style for Reading users which
incorporates this change and some others. It is available on the PCs in the
labs on campus, you can also download the amended Harvard style - save the
downloaded style into your Styles folder within the EndNote program folder.
To use the amended style select "Harvard for Reading" from the list of
Styles on the EndNote toolbar in Word.

Endnote bibliography database 里边一篇一篇 template 手动改
如需要大写的 Zhang S S
没有它法即使BibTex LaTex 俺还一个一个改了几十个比如 é å 开
始的一作的last name的第一字母呢都得手动改BibTex 的template
Dua的五百文献里边都当成 e a 了吧 Lol

我只能说，mendelay里面合并作者是很方便的

为啥非要弄这个名字呀。Endnote生成啥就是啥就行了。
最开始插入文献的时候，最好采用同一个搜索引擎，比如都是Pubmed，或者都是Web of
science（TS）。
有些名字是改不过来的，这个跟投文章的时候，杂志所用的系统有关。

（1）最根本的避免这种问题的方法是只从一种数据库里下载导入文献，每种数据
库格式不完全一样，比如 pubmed, 或者 web of science.
(2) 如果数据库已经存在的话，在 tools 里面，open term lists, 然后改变 authors
term list，这样可以改动一个作者（或文献名等等）在所有biobiography的格式。

我试过(2)这种方法，但是如果一个作者既存在Zhang S. 又存在Zhang s.的话，就不可
能把后者改成前者，系统发现重合，OK键自动就灰了。但是我恰恰是想把这两个合起来。
