just found there is overlap for the mortgage interest. The old loan will be
paid off on sept 7 but the new one will start
on sept 3. We hired a chinese broke for this refinance. She never mentioned
this to us. Who should take care of this
refund? Is this the mortgage officer's responsibility to get the refund for
us? Really appreciate your help, thank you!!

分析一个gene的promoter，另一个lab帮做DNA的甲基化。发现他们设计的引物不是编码
链的。如果DNA的一个位点methalytion，那么另一条链对应的DNA也一样methalytion
吗。如果这样的话，他们的结果就没错，如果不，那就是要重新设计引物了。引申的问
题就是 TF bind 一条还是double DNA strand?

是的，这个是Loan Broker的责任，理论上Borrower只应该付两天的Interest overlap
。不过你怎么知道新的银行是9月3号放款？

是不是funding day (通常closing day三天后）就是新loan的开始？

It does not matter which strand the primer is from. The methylaton on either
strand can always be detected. Most TFs binds to both strand of DNA, but
there are exceptions.

什么是closing day？
for my case, I signed all paperwork on 8/12 and the funding day is 8/13. So
the previous loan was paid off on 8/13, but the new loan started on 8/12.

settlement day/closing day)开始？应该在HUD-1上面明确有新loan是什么时候开始吧。

理论上来说旧的mortgage应该不用付了吧？

我来说明一下。Funding day是新的Loan开始的日期，Settlement Day是旧的Loan
Payoff的日期，两者一般相差一天，所以interest overlap是两天。

在HUD-1上面明确有:
Settlement Date
8/12/2010
Fund: 8/13/2010
我当时觉得这个是DEFAULT的，因为总听说REFINANCE要多付一天的INTEREST，最好不要
选周五作Settlement Date
所以也没多问

应该是不要选星期五做Funding Date，因为Settlement Date就到星期一了。

There is not much you can do. Try not to close on Friday, and worse the
