Applications are invited for multiple postdoctoral positions in Dr. Yinghao
Wu’s lab at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. We are in the Department
of Systems and Computational Biology. The research of our lab is focusing on
developing multiscale computational methods to study how cells form
interactions through the clustering of membrane receptors on their surfaces
and how these inter-cellular interactions modulate the succedent signal
transduction.
Any applicants with a Ph.D. from a variety of disciplines including physics,
mathematics, chemistry, bioengineering and computational biology will be
considered. Previous experiences in developing computational or mathematical
methods for biological systems on either molecular or cellular level are
highly desirable. Background knowledge in immunology or cancer biology will
be a plus. A successful application also requires basic computational skills
such as Linux, Perl, C++, Fortran, Mathematica or MatLab. The researches in
Wu Lab involve close collaborations with multiple experimental laboratories
. Therefore, candidates are expected to have excellent communication skills.
The positions will start as early as January 2013. Review of applications
will begin immediately and will continue until the positions are filled.
Interested applicants should send a letter of interest with brief statement
of research experiences, CV with list of publications, and name of three
