Summary
AccuraGen is a VC-backed diagnostics company founded by a group of
scientists dedicated to developing the most accurate mutation detection
technology for liquid biopsy using on the next-gen sequencing platform. The
proprietary technology AccuraGen developed can detect trace amount of tumor
DNA in blood and will be used as a powerful tool for personalized cancer
treatment and cancer drug development. The first product is in clinical
validation phase.
AccuraGen has a main R&D facility in the center of Silicon Valley and
clinical laboratories in Shanghai and other major cities of China.
Responsibilities
Work closely with other bioinformatics and lab scientists as a team on
data analysis, assay research and development, and collaboration
tasks.
Develop computational algorithms to support Accuragen’s research and
commercial products.
Collaborate with the internal and external R&D groups.
Requirement
All candidates with a strong mathematics/statistics and software
programming experience in a scientific context are encouraged to
apply.
A combination of i) deep knowledge of mathematics & statistical
methods and ii) experience working with large data sets (such as
next-generation sequencing, expression or copy number) is essential
for this position.
Sc. in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Statistics, Computer
Science, Physics, Engineering, Mathematics, Molecular Biology,
Chemistry or similar.
Proficiency with Computer Languages such as Python, Perl, C++
Proficiency in statistics and statistics programs such as R
Familiarity with Linux, shell scripting, MySQL, source code control
(git, svn), unit testing
Experience with algorithm development, bioinformatics, Genomics,
especially next-generation sequencing data analysis are pluses
Superior communication skills in a cross-disciplinary environment.
