Scientific Manager – Stem Cell (Job 34333)
Are you interested in pioneering Stem Cell Research? We are seeking a
Scientific Manager for the new Developmental Neurobiology Stem Cell
Laboratory. As the Scientific Manager you will lead collaborative research
projects with investigators in the Developmental Neurobiology Department.
The Scientific Manager will be responsible for:
· Developing new differentiation protocols aligned with the
research interests in the department.
· Modeling cancer in 3D culture systems using hiPSCs derived from
patients with germline cancer predisposition mutations.
· Incorporating cutting-edge techniques for genetic manipulation of
hiPSC populations to study fundamental questions in developmental
neurobiology and cancer initiation and progression.
· Curate and store hSC cell lines and develop standard operating
procedures for maintaining and differentiating stem cells from diverse
sources.
We offer the exciting opportunity for exposure to breakthrough stem cell
technologies, including 3D culture systems, access to iPSCs from patients
with germline cancer predisposition mutations, CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing
and stem cell based models of childhood brain tumors.
The investigators within the Developmental Neurobiology Department at St.
Jude Children’s Research Hospital have pioneered innovative new approaches
using stem cells to advance our understanding of fundamental processes
underlying neural development and pediatric brain tumors. Our department
includes 15 faculty members with diverse research interests including
mechanisms of development, learning and memory, neurodegeneration and cancer
.
The Scientific Manager will join a team of managers that oversee other
departmental core facilities including a neuroembryology laboratory, a
neurobehavior testing unit, a flow cytometry core and a bioimaging resource.
Scientific Manager – Oncology (Job 34488)
Are you interested in chromatin biology?
Are you looking to do cutting-edge research?
We have a great opportunity for you!
We are looking for a Scientific Manager to contribute to the scientific
direction of the lab. The Scientific Manager will work with the PI to
develop and execute projects in the lab. Our lab studies the SWI/SNF (BAF)
chromatin remodeling/tumor suppressor complex and its relationship to
cancers.
The Scientific Manager will be responsible for leading and directing
projects in the lab, mentoring staff in the lab, directly performing
research, as well writing manuscripts.
If you want to be the force behind the cure to pediatric cancers and perform
important research in a team that never quits, come and join us !
Manager Lab Operations – Oncology (Job 34489)
Are you ready to take the next step in your career? Looking for an
opportunity in management?
We have the job for you! We are seeking for Manager of Lab Operations for
our lab. We need a highly motivated individual to direct the operations of
the lab. Our lab studies the SWI/SNF (BAF) chromatin remodeling/tumor
suppressor complex and its relationship to cancers.

The Manager of Lab Operations will be responsible for:
· Developing and overseeing operating procedures for the lab.
· Directing technical staff in the lab and participating in
personnel management
· Contributing to the design and execution of laboratory
experiments.
· Interpreting and ensuring consistent application of policies.
· Assisting in the preparation for and coordination of, outside
regulatory inspections as required.
· Coordinating budget activities for the lab
Staff Scientist – Hematology (Job 34483)
Are you interested in gene therapy research?
Do you have experience with hematopoietic stem cells, lentiviral vectors,
TALENS, CRISPRs/Cas9 systems?
We need your skills. We are looking for a Staff Scientist to be part of our
team and work in the development of gene therapy and genome editing
approaches to non-malignant hematological disorders by specifically
correcting human hematopoietic stem cells.
The ideal candidate will also have strong molecular biology background, and
experience working with genome editing tools, primary hematopoietic cells,
and murine transplant models.
Research Lab Specialist – Developmental Neurobiology (Job 34344)
Are you interested in doing ground-breaking research?
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital has a great opportunity in the
Developmental Neurobiology Department. Currently we are seeking a scientist
with expertise in developing genetically modified in vivo models to study
genes and pathways involved in the development of medulloblastoma. This is a
great opportunity to contribute to St. Jude’s mission to find cures for
pediatric cancer.
The Research Lab Specialist will be responsible for:
· Assisting the PI with specific research projects.
· Develop new procedures and protocols.
