基本情况：2012年开始半年多夫妻分别在两州工作和居住，然后夏天买了房子，老婆和
孩子搬了过来。
1.如果两人jointly报联邦税，应该比较简单。如果想分开报联邦税的话，请问老婆可
以作为Head of Household吗？2011年的时候是这么报的，因为条件符合。不过看了
1040 instruction，有一条"You are married but lived from your spouse for the
last 6 months of 2012...",记得有人说过是两地分开超过6个月就行了，但是按照以
上要求，是最后6个月，那就是需要至少7-12月在2012是分开的？
2.假设分开报联邦税的话，那么房子property tax可以只算在一个人的税表上作为
itemized deductions吗？比如，老婆还是standard deduction，我itemized
deductions。
3.关于州税，老婆2012年搬过来还没开始工作，所以只是在以前的州有收入，那么我们
的州税是不是各报各的就可以了。
最后，请问有报税软件可以解决以上略显复杂的情况吗？什么比较好用？

帮人家报税 for compensation的， 知道需要申请一个ptin号码， 不知道是不是一定
是enroll agent 才可以， 还是有ptin就行了
