遇到了棘手的问题，在此向大家寻求帮助如何保持自己在美国的身份。现在在西部的一
个公立学校读化学，第一年就和老板关系闹得不愉快，本准备春季学校换老板，谁知道
本已为敲定的事情出现了变化，现在的情况是原来的老板回不去，新老板也没戏了。只
有转学，但是现在联系的时间有点晚，几个中意的学校告诉我说只能申请春季，西部这
边F-1身份到八月底就没有了，现在很着急，如何在八月底到一月这段时间保持身份呢
？想听听大家的意见，感激不尽！

很多术语或简称，等你真正工作一段时间就知道了。hawaiilover解释的很好。ROW主要在
civil或surveying的图上使用。类似的还有很多，FF(Finished Floor), PE(Pad
Elevation), TC (Top of curb), FL (Flow Line), FG (Finished Grade)，TW (Top
of Wall)........我是做结构的。做civil或surveying的朋友们会给你解释的更多更好。

The abbre of Right of Way (ROW), I think. It decribes the cost of acquiring
land aling the infrasture .

don't worry, you will pick those up when you start to work.
I don't think I am using more than 10% of the knowledge in college. Most of
them came from working experience and practice.

It's hard to say. Sometime, what you will do is different with what you want
to be. For me, I previously want to be a transportation engineer or planner
, or traffic engineer, but end up with civil engineer focused on site
development.
But its not difficult to pick all the knowledge you need in the work, most
of them by self-study and self practice for the softwares.
Civil is a big topic, geotech, water resource, structural, transportation,
civil (grading, utility), etc. You can learn the course
