google就用mysql，呵呵。只不过他们自己改了很多。其他一般都是中小公司用。

我也不是很清楚，你有见过类似的吗？ 差不多的就可以。etsy上貌似有一些，不过有
点贵。

Might be satin cord? I used to buy that by foot from artbeads.com. It was $0
.2/foot at that time.
But I don't see it shining from the pic? So maybe not... If it is, you can
acturally find it on firemountaingems.com as well. I believe it has much
more options there.

I really doubt it would happen. MySQL does not compete directly with Oracle
RDBMS in some sense, it competes more with MS SQL.
After mysql's reunion with InnoDB in Oracle,
it could be a better weapon against mssql.

如果只做专职MySQL DBA，选择面会窄的多。毕竟主流的数据库还是Oracle/SQL server
这样的商业数据库,建议你考oracle/sql. 做一个懂MySQL的oracle DBA.
MySQL作为公司里的secondary database慢慢在增加,我们是用在drupal这样的CMS系统
上，但是还是少数.

data warehouse, lite db for personal
express... its software can be configured and licensed across all spans of
business. Why let MySQL live to steel
its business base for small/departmental usage?

this does not make sense to me. Now mysql/innodb belongs to Oracle,
it could be a weapon against mssql much more powerful than
any existent Oracle products, isn't enough to keep it?
the business decision is not as simple as you thought.
if your logic holds, the innoDB would have been killed long time ago.

it is not a logic issue, it is money issue. If oracle can get money out of
selling service for MySql support, they might do so, but if not..
