PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Work on an agile software development team that develops automated test
solutions & support tools for engineering & manufacturing test operations
leveraging primarily the .NET development environment. Designs & develops
software solutions that interface with Hardware as well as industry standard
& custom designed test equipment hardware. Involved in all phases of the
software development lifecycle including requirements analysis, design,
coding, testing & deployment. Analyses current development processes from a
continuous improvement standpoint & is actively involved in driving positive
change into said processes through innovation and industry best practices.
Contribute to the development and achievement of organizational goals and
objectives. Sphere of influence is likely to extend outside of work group or
department.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering,
Electrical/Instrumentation engineering or equivalent.
SKILLS:
- Must be proficient in object-oriented software design principles
- Better to have experiences in C# and latest .Net technologies
- Hardware experience strongly desired particularly in the area of
instrumentation leveraged in a manufacturing test environment (Rabbit
controllers, precision environmental chamber programmers/controllers…etc…
.)
- Familiarity with RS232, GPIB, and Ethernet communication protocols
strongly desired.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills (written and verbal), problem
solving skills as well as the ability to work in a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to work in a fast paced work
environment
- Working knowledge of SCRUM development framework a plus.
- Some travel may be required.
