I think there are many such papers on survey of space time
coding, i remember that a Ph.D of stanford named Lei Poo has
a EE 359 class project paper,it is a general conclusion of
Tarokh's outstanding papers.
I also know that Chaper 2 of Dr. Zhiqiang Liu's Thesis
is a introduction of s-t code,which is more intuitively.
BTW,stanford's smart antenna group has a paper named Intro to
S-T codes maybe useful which is written by Sanhu, Paulraj and etc,
all the above 3 could be easily found by googling
