chip to chip optical transceiver前途这么差么
现在了解看看都开始做2.5G甚至10GHz了,每年ISSCC都有专门的session的

这东西也有些年头了吧, 我还是觉得意义不大. 有工夫做chip 2 chip,
不如继续深挖process node来得方便. 为了扩展容量, 搞3D packing也
有出路.

Quite a few papers around. But not quite sure whether or not they are very
useful.
What I think not quite real is the part they use quite a lot optical power (
more than 10s of mW, or even Watts) to generate RF power that is like
microwatt. Certainly, that may be good for publication, but what is supposed
to do after that?

but digital based signal generation consumes far more power at high
frequencies.
next step is how to get rid of the optical bench...
