1) Test & Evaluation Support.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
* Generates test procedures and data sheets for use by Operations during
final test of production devices.
* Assists with product verification and characterization of new products,
including setting up test conditions and recording data.
* Builds, supports, and provides training for electronic circuit board test
fixtures, with the assistance of the board designer and software engineers.
* Forecasts schedules for the above tasks, keeps in mind overall project
schedules which may vary.
* Familiarity with MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-461, UL1012, and the NEC (National
Electric Code) would be an advantage.
* Works observing safe practices around high electrical power.
* Must be able to work overtime as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Ability to use hand tools, power tools, soldering irons, multi-meters,
oscilloscopes, and power meters
* Experience with high voltage (up to 600V AC or DC) and high current levels
(up to 1,000A AC or DC), all safety aspects relating to this work.
* Self-starter, able to work and resolve routine issues, with minimal
supervision.
* Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Desired Skills:
* Ability to read and understand electrical schematic diagrams
* Ability to trouble-shoot and repair electronic circuits
* Ability to work under pressure and meet scheduled deadlines
* Ability to work in a team environment, which includes design engineers,
software engineers, mechanical engineers, and others as needed to understand
requirements.
Experience:
* Minimum 10 years’ experience as an electronics technician, preferably
with power equipment
Education:
* Accredited technical institute or military training. In lieu of degree, 10
+ years of relevant experience.
2)Digital Circuit Design Engineer.
Principal Duties and Areas of Responsibility:
* Designs, develops, tests and evaluates digital circuits for high-power
industrial frequency/power converters.
* Requirements capture and definition, component selection, schematic
capture, board layout, analysis, simulation, verification, testing, design
review preparation and participation.
* Analyzes product and military specifications to ensure product compliance.
* Participates in systems integration, debug and test at the product level.
* Works closely with software engineers to enable them to develop operating
software and firmware for the board designs.
* Works closely with analog power design engineers to integrate the control
and monitoring circuitry with the power circuitry.
* Writes and releases board documentation.
* Stays up to date with the latest devices, technologies, and design
techniques.
* Provides technical and schedule updates to management.
Qualifications:
* Experience in designs involving power conversion preferred.
* Experience in board level designs that include FPGA, CPLD, DSP, and micro-
controllers
* Proven design skills in product development environment
* Ability to meet schedule milestones
* Ability to read, interpret, understand, and comply with military, product,
customer, and industry specifications.
* Experience with OrCAD and PADS preferred.
* Experience with FPGA software and SPICE simulation.
* Knowledge of computer programming languages
* Work independently and as part of a team
Education:
* A degree in Electronic/Electrical engineering or equivalent with at least
5 years’ experience in digital circuit design.
