Congrats! Do you have another offer? This is normally the most powerful tool
. However, multiple schools are doing salary cut recently. So do keep this
in mind...

is it oral or paper printed final offer? I saw on twitter that someone got
offer from dept. chair and the offer didn't go through provost, as they have
hire freeze.

建议不要乱negotiate工资了，这个形势，offer不被取消就不错了。
我觉得可以考虑negotiate一项3年之内不减工资不参加学校furlough的条款试试看。

我觉得最近最重要的事情是赶紧做完所有paperwork，因为政策每一天都会变化。
也许拖个几天，你的offer被学校不批准都有可能。
