Timeline:
EB2 485 pending since July 2007.
EB1B 140 approved Sep 29, 2010.
Filed relink request (mail) Oct 10, 2010
Filed service request over phone Oct 26, 2010
Visited Senator's Office Nov 10, 2010 (USCIS started to reply my emails
since then).
485 appoval notice: Dec 2, 2010.
Card received: Dec 10, 2010.
My general feeling is that you can just call to relink (I am not even sure
whether USCIS ever received my paper relink request). I think Senator's
Office helped a lot to ensure timely processing of my case.
The process is finally over for me. I just donated another $100 to the EB3
legal trust. I wish all Chinese EBs will get their green cards soon. United
we stand.
