It's possible, but need the department to supply a letter to the U.
BTW, they can also change the petitioner's title.

那research scientist是不是比postdoc好听一点？
research scientist和research associate比起来呢？一样么？

然后我问他是不是也是薄厚，他说不是。说是“senior scientist”
说了3次。

我以前问过律师，research scientist好听些，associate 也行，postdoc最好不要，
因为大家都知道这是临时的，但也有人拿了的，主要是要HR出具这个职位是permanent
的信。
