interesting stuff. just had a quick read at the product home page. It seems
to be tied to vmware for horizontal scalibility.

VMWare bought springsource. I think they extend the tomcat/apache/spring
with some cloud middleware to make a commercial version.

【在 p*****2 的大作中提到】
: 跟spring什么关系?

vFabric is a profitable department of VMware. Compared with core products of
VMware about vitalization and infrastructure. It is about application level.
It acquired many opensource projects, hired those committers and make
commercial versions, which also help their core products selling in the
cloud/vitalization world.
They have tcserver (tomcat) as servlet container, spring as framework,
rabbitMQ as integration middleware, hyperic as distributed monitoring tool,
gemfire as in memory distributed caching.
Now they even have application provisioning tool like app director tied to
the core product with cloud director, vSphere, ESX.

It's about opensource except gemfire (So expensive). You can pick up quickly
when you are using them, since you can just look at source code.
