My company is currently recruiting a bilingual Commercial Development
Analyst (Chinese/English) in Wilmington, DE, which requires an MBA/Master's
degree in business and a bachelor's degree in scientific/technical field,
plus 3 years work experience in a financial role with analytical focus.
There will be potential relocation to Shanghai/China for this position after
about 1-2 year from date of hire.

proficient in Mandarin and English to fill roles in INVISTA's Commercial
Development capability. This job will be based in Wilmington, Delaware for
the first year, and will prepare you for potential relocation to Shanghai/
China after about one year from date of hire. Visas or work permits are not
offered; however, moving assistance will be considered for the relocation to
Shanghai/China.
The Specialty Materials business is made up of five businesses serving more
than 40 industries globally. Industry leading brands like DYTEK® amines
, TERATE® polyols, FlexiSolv™ solvents, TERATHANE® glycols and
C12™ diacids represent product, process and business innovation.
Applying creative destruction, the Commercial Development team drives
portfolio reinvention, new market development and product line improvements
utilizing purchased raw materials, by-product and co-product raw materials
and a variety of owned and contracted manufacturing assets.
We are seeking candidates with the following attributes:
· Strategic, critical and analytical thinking skills.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Desire and ability to work collaboratively with commercial business teams
including R&D scientists to identify market opportunities based on rigorous
market and product value in use analysis.
· Capacity to handle multiple projects and manage competing priorities.
Responsibilities:
· Execute job responsibilities consistent with INVISTA™ Code of
Conduct and MBM® Principles.
· Analyze key specialty materials markets, and develop perspectives with
respect to market position, competitive position and economic trends.
· Develop market Point of View (e.g., supply/demand models, global product
balance and trade flow, margin forecasting) to create value and originate
new growth opportunities.
· Provide financial and industry economic analysis for potential projects
or business initiatives (e.g., capital projects, commercial contracts, M&A).
· Develop and leverage knowledge of price setting mechanisms into pricing
strategy, taking advantage of market shifts and dislocations and other ideas
for profitable opportunities.
· Technical capability to decipher market intelligence through patent
reviews, technical literature, etc.
· Collaborate with business and functional personnel on projects.
· Complete work product that is clear, concise, error-free, consistent and
provides necessary information to make a decision.
· Develop and manage advanced financial models that apply MBM® based
marginal analysis and mental models.
· Effectively communicate work product, engage in challenge and engage best
knowledge through business leaders, sales teams, marketing groups, R&D and
others whether in Specialty Materials or across businesses in INVISTA.
Education, Experience and Skills Required:
· Proficiency in Mandarin and English, both written and verbal. Applicants
will be required to demonstrate proficiency during the selection process.
· Ability to provide original documents which verify your identity and
legally authorized right to work in China as part of the "Back to Asia"
program
· Bachelor's Degree in a scientific or technical field from a Chinese
university
· Master's of Business Administration from a United States university by
May 2012
· At least 3 years experience with MS Office Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
· Ability to travel up to 30% of the time (US and global).
· Experience completing research (e.g., scientific, engineering, business,
marketing) and identifying critical information gaps and executing creative
tactics to fill gaps.
· Ability to provide Employee Authorization Documentation through
Occupation Practical Training (OPT) / Academic Training
· At least 3 years of business experience in a financial role with an
analytical focus including modeling experience with discounted cash flow
analysis.

Education, Experience and Skills Preferred:
· Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering.
· At least 3 years of experience working in either chemical or allied
industries.
· At least 3 years of business experience in a financial role with an
analytical focus, including discounted cash flow modeling, value chain
analysis, competitive analysis, pricing models and market research.
