大家好~
有个关于签证的问题，请教下大家：我现在是F1，no cpt/opt， I20到今年9月21号；
新的H1B要10月1号生效。请问我必须延长F1到9月底么？学校一般至少延期3个月，延10
天左右不知道学校同意否，会不会因为太短不批准（我也不知道是学校批还是USCIS批
）。要是我延期3个月，10月1号后，我的状态是H1B呢还是F1呢？

if you mean you're graduating in September, you will have 60 days grace
period after graduation. There will be no status gap.
If you quit school or do not graduate when I-20 expiring, you have no grace
period, but 10 days gap is not that big a deal.

我是在语言学校，不知道怎么定义毕业。我的I-20上写的 “...the student is
expected to complete studies no later than 9/21/12..."，是说9月21是毕业时间
么？
我也记得学校提到过有60天grace period的
